AVON — Chief Jeffrey Bukunt is pleased to announce that the Avon Police Department has launched a brand-new website.
The new site, avonmapd.com, has multiple user-friendly and resource-oriented features, including information about the department as a whole, firearms licensing, police logs, resources for residents and more.
Along with these features, there are also pages where residents can contact the department, learn more about the chief, and access a news blog with up-to-date information on the department.

A resources tab includes several useful links for residents, including how to sign up for CodeRed notifications, information on the department’s prescription drug disposal program, a link to the Town of Avon’s street map and listing, and more.

“We are very excited to be launching this new user-friendly website,” Chief Bukunt said. “The site will give our residents a central place to access important information about our department and learn more about the vital services we provide to the community.”
The website was designed by John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC and was built using the WordPress website platform. It features a modern, HTML 5 “Responsive Design” that works equally well on computer, tablet, and smartphone screens.
