AVON — Town Administrator Gregory S. Enos is pleased to announce the launch of a brand-new news and events portal for the Town of Avon that will allow citizens to access town-related news, resources and more.
The website, avonnewsportal.com, features a modern look and accessible design, with multiple user-friendly and resource-oriented features including information about the town; public safety departments such as police, fire and DPW; Board of Health and COVID-19 news, and upcoming events.
Along with these features, there is an area where residents can submit a story idea or news tip that they would like the Town to follow up on at a later time.
“We are excited to launch this news and events portal so residents can find information from a variety of town departments all in one place,” Town Administrator Enos said. “This site will serve as an excellent way to directly reach our citizens and keep them up to date on all that is happening in Town.”
The site also features links to the Town of Avon’s official Facebook, Twitter and Youtube pages, and visitors will be able to subscribe to the site so that updates are automatically emailed to them when posted.
The news portal will also be accessible via a link at the top of the Town’s official website, www.avon-ma.gov.
The Avon news and events portal was created by John Guilfoil Public Relations.
