From the Treasurer-Collector and Assistant Tax Collector

Effective March 24, 2020 through April 7, 2020

Per Governor Baker’s stay-at-home advisory, the Treasurer-Collector’s Office staff will be conducting operations remotely. Our office remains available to answer any inquiries or questions you may have and can be reached by phone or e-mail. Please be mindful that minor delays may occur and that we will make all due efforts to fulfill your inquiries.

In addition, we are taking the following actions in the interest of convenience for the community when making tax payments:

  1. Motor Vehicle Excise Tax Bills previously due on March 12 are now extended through April 1, 2020. Online payments, mail-in payments, and Town Hall Drop Box remain open for taxpayers during this time.
  2. 4th Quarter Real Estate and Personal Property Tax bills have been uploaded to the online payment system early for taxpayers who wanted to come into the office to pay but could not do so due to the stay at home advisory. Mail-in or Town Hall Drop Box are also available as remittance options.
  3. The second round of Motor Vehicle Excise Taxes for 2020 are being issued on March 25, 2020 with a due date of April 24, 2020. These bills have been uploaded to the online payment system and paper copies are being mailed out for Mail-in or Drop Box processing.
